This rank is assigned to Enlisted ranks who show a lot of promise and have the potential to rise quickly through the ranks into a position of responsibility as a Junior Non Commissioned Officer. In order to be eligible for this Training rank a pilot must be enlisted or have completed either Fighter or Bomber School.

This rank is assigned to those suitable for Junior Commissioned Officer ranks but have not served a suitable time in grade or lack the combat experience normally required to receive a commission. This rank is awarded to those who are being assessed for high level responsibility roles such as Staffel Kapitain, Staffelfuhrer, Luftkriegschule Staff or even Stab roles. In order to be eligible for this Training Rank a pilot must have completed either Advanced Fighter or Advanced Bomber School and must be enlisted in the Tactical School.
