| Pilots who have a long, and perfect service record as a Commissioned Officer become eligible to be promoted to the rank of Major. In order to achieve this rank a pilot must hold additional responsibility as a member of Stab or of the Luftkriegsschule Staff. | In order to achieve this rank a pilot must have served time in grade as a Major with distinction. This rank is achievable by only the Gruppe Kommandeur, Adjuntant, Stellvertreter and Luftkriegsscule Kommandant. |
This rank is achievable only by those in the Kommandeur and Luftkriegsschule Kommandant positions due to the seniority of these positions. |
