| The rank of Leutnant is the lowest Commissioned Officer's rank available. Pilot's of this rank have either risen through the ranks with experience, have completed several training schools or have been picked out by Stab on their merits. Pilots with the rank of Leutnant are eligible to be acting StaffelKapitains, a Luftkriegsschule Flugausbilder or a member of Stab. | Pilots with the rank of Oberleutnant have proven their abilities as a Leutnant and have been confirmed in their role as Staffelkapitain. Oberleutnants are normally very senior members of the group and have several responsibilities. |
Those pilots who demonstrate a superior ability as a Stafeflkapitain or in a Stab or Luftkriegsschule Staff role become eligible for the rank of Hauptmann. In order to achieve this rank a pilot must have an exemplary service record and have demonstrated both a superior teamwork ethic and dedication to the group. This is the highest rank a member can achieve without being a Stab or Luftkriegsschule Staff member. |
